CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Lanna Dale Adams, 84, of Chapmanville, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Boone Memorial Hospital.

Born June 28, 1928, in Stollings, he was a son of the late Clell and Opal Adams. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Bobbie Lee Pardue Adams and his step-mother, Alice Adams.

Lanna was a graduate of Marshall University, a member of the Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church at Turtle Creek, and former Principal of the McConnell Grade School and East Chapmanville Grade School. Lanna was a former employee of Appalachian Power Company at the Logan power plant, Kentucky Power Company, Big Sandy power plant in Louisa, Ky., C&O Railroad at Peach Creek and the Logan County Board of Education where he retired.

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Patricia (Keith) Brewster of Chapmanville; two sons, Brian Adams of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Randy (Marilyn) Adams of Chapmanville; four grandchildren, Natalie (Nick) Farley, and Randilyn (Timmy) Mendez, both of Chapmanville, and Michael Brewster and Christopher Brewster, both of Morgantown, and four great-grandchildren, Raelynn Mendez, Dylan Mendez, Nolan Farley and Nathaniel Farley.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at Freeman Funeral Home with Joe Triplett officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
