CHAPMANVILLE — Chapmanville Regional High School was put on a brief lockdown Thursday morning to allow authorities to check out reports that had been made.

Logan County Board of Education Superintendent Wilma Zigmund said that any time there is a concern, it is going to be thoroughly checked out.

“There can be no idle threats made; no teasing remarks or comments,” said Zigmond, “This is a new and different world we live in. Children need to be responsible for what they say.”

According to Zigmond, no weapons were found at the school and the incident is still under investigation.
