ETHEL, W.Va. — Ruby Gaynell Jeffery (Adkins), 38, of Ethel, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born April 2, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of Gene Jeffery of Columbus and Charlotte Jeffery of Rossmore.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Douglas and Lorean Jeffery, and Dewey and Christine Crum, and one aunt, Gaynell Lesher.

Ruby enjoyed singing in church, spending time with her friends and loved ones and her children.

Additionally, those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Lonnie Gene Hayes and Aaron Christian Hayes, both of Rossmore; two step-sons, Gary (Ashley) Hayes of Danville and Willis Hayes of Wirt County; three brothers, John Eugene Jeffery of Mud Fork, Dewey Carlos (Missy) Jeffery of Justice and Clyde Michael (Angie) Jeffrey of Mud Fork; two grandchildren, Emilee Hayes and Alexis Hayes, both of Danville, and a host of many cousins, friends, and family.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 28, at Freeman Funeral Home with Darrell Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John Jeffery, Dewey Jeffery, Michael Jeffery, Lonnie Hayes, Aaron Hayes, Josh Jeffery, Gary Hayes, TJ White, Alfred Lee Crum, and Charles Crum.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.

So sorry about Ruby she was one of the nicest girls you would ever want to meet, she was a lot like Charlotte RIP Ruby

Ruby was a very loving and happy daughter, sister and mother. A lot of hearts were left broken when God came for her. But HE does only take the best.
