Harts Middle falls to Madison

The Madison Middle School boys’ basketball team dropped Harts Middle to 4-2 on the season with Monday night’s 57-41 victory over the Lions at the Harts gym.

Drew Williamson poured in a team-high 19 points to lead Harts. Kyle Browning also broke into double digits with 11 points. Caleb Ellis had four, Carson Toney three and C.J. Dalton and Ty Sturm tossed in two each.

Andrew Day led Madison with 24 points. Alan Johnson had 13 for the night.

The RedHawks led Harts 14-5 after one quarter, 33-14 at the half and 48-25 after three. The Lions then outscored Madison 16-9 in the fourth but it was not enough.

Harts, coached by Odell Dingess, are scheduled to play at Kermit on Thursday. The JV game tips off at 6 p.m. with the varsity game to follow around 7:30.
