CHAPMANVILLE — This week, a couple was arrested by members of the U.S. 119 Drug and Voilent Crime Task Force and Logan W.Va. State Police troopers.
The exchange of methamphetamine for previously recorded cash during a controlled purchase landed Opal Marie Wiley. 41, and her husband Rodney Lester Wiley, 29, both of Ranger, in jail.
After the exchange, a traffic stop was made and a bag of marijuana was found in Mrs. Wiley’s purse and two loaded firearms were discovered.
The couple face charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy, delivery of a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of a concealed weapon. Mrs. Wiley was also charged with possession of a controlled substance less than 15 grams. Mr. Wiley is a convicted felon. He was convicted of robbery in the first degree May, 19, 2004.
