CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Vickie Lynn Stamper, 44, of Garrett Fork of Chapmanville, departed this life Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born August 2, 1967, in Logan, she was a daughter of Diana (Charles) Brumfield of Harts and the late Brady Dale Workman. Also preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, John Workman and Easter Dingess; maternal grandfather, Harold Harless, and her father-in-law, Arthur Stamper.

Vickie enjoyed spending time with her family, photography and socializing on facebook. She had a special interest in canning and preserving foods, wild game, “Top Chef” and gardening.

Additionally, those left to cherish her memory include her grandmother, Nancy Harless of Chapmanville; husband, Steven A. Stamper of Garrett Fork; two daughters, Ashley Nicole Stamper (Berthal Richards) of Crawley Creek and Rachele Maria Stamper (Larry Woods) of Garrett Fork; one son, Steven Brady Stamper (Lindsey Armentrout) of Lake; one sister, Leeann (Travis) Vance of Chapmanville; one brother, Harold Thomas “Tommy” (Sherry) Workman of Chapmanville; three grandchildren, Nathan Bryant and Calvin Richards, both of Crawley Creek, and Jayda Woods of Garrett Fork; mother-in-law, Phyllis Stamper of Garrett Fork; two sisters-in-law, Tammy Stamper and Anita (Greg) Curry; three nephews, Justin, Austin and Preston Curry; one niece, Amanda, and her very special lifetime friend, Linda Clevinger of Ranger.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Freeman Funeral Home with Donnie Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Restful Gardens, The Stamper Family Cemetery at Garrett Fork.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Berthal Richards, Justin Curry, Austin Curry, Tommy Workman, Stevie Stamper, Travis Vance and Tony Toler.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Charles Brumfield.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
