WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Anna Ruth Richards, 80, of Winston Salem, N.C., formerly of Logan, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012.

Born June 30, 1931, in Logan, she was a daughter of the late Port and Della Harvey Daniels. Also preceding her in death was a son Rodney Richards; one grandson, Rodney “Bo” Richards; sisters, Helen Hohl and Wanda Workman, and one brother, Robert Daniels.

Survivors include her husband of more than 60 years, Don Richards; two sons, Steve Richards of Winston Salem and Mike Richards of Logan; three grandchildren, Brean Richards of Randleman, N.C., Kimberly Johnson of Columbus, N.C., and Michael Richards of Montgomery, N.C.; brothers and sisters, Shirley Workman of Mulberry, Fla., Joann Sohn of Springboro, Ohio, Dorothy Goodale, of Lebanon, Mass., Wilma Gresham and Peggy Minter, both of Wichita, Kan., and Connie Stafford of Oceana.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today April, 22, at the James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denny Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of the arrangements.
