CORA, W.Va. — Mrs. Mollie Marie Sheppard departed this world Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Logan Regional Medical Center to go home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born January 22, 1962, at Holden Hospital. Mollie resided at Cora and lived her life in the Logan area.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Samuel and Beulah Shirley; one son, Leonard Sheppard Jr., and her two brothers, Paul and James Viars, all of Logan.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Leonard Dale Sheppard; one daughter, Ammie (Chester) Horn; one son, Aaron (Anna) Sheppard; granddaughter, Kylee Horn; grandson, Ashton Sheppard; sister-in-law, Helen Viars; nephews, John (Laura) Viars and Larry (Jennifer) Dotson, all of Logan County; her niece, Gina (Kelly) Samson of Charleston, and a host of other family and friends.
Mollie attended the First Baptist Church of McConnell and was a born again Christian. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the First Baptist Church of McConnell with Pastors John E. Godby and John T. Viars officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Lenore.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to the family.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is assisting the Sheppard family in making the arrangements.
