RHEA MAYNARD

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mrs. Rhea Nelson Maynard, 63, of Chapmanville, was born August 6, 1948, at Madison, a daughter of Elmo and Alice Covey Nelson of Lake. She departed this life after a heart attack Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Vernon W. Maynard Jr.; daughter, Misty Maynard, and brother, Donald Nelson.

Mrs. Maynard was employed at Boone Memorial Hospital as an LPN, a member of the Logan Church of the Nazarene and was a 1966 graduate of Logan High School.

Additional survivors include her sons, Stephen (Mary) Maynard of Texas, and Garrett W. Maynard of Chapmanville; daughter, Breianna Maynard, also of Chapmanville; brother, Johnny R. (Charlotte) Nelson of Madison; sisters, Judy (George) Bonelli of McConnell and Dot (Harold) Ward at Lake; grandchildren, Ellen, Allyson, Cody, Chase, Chance and Dawson Maynard; sisters-in-law, Ava Maynard and Janet Varney; her dog, Harley (her little boy); friend, Connie Henry; very special friend, Roger Liming, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Larry Cale and Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow in the Douglas Cemetery at Lake.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
