MARY JOHNSON
7&8 HOLDEN, W.Va. — Mary Orlena Collins Johnson, 86, of 7&8 Holden, departed this life to be with her Lord Jesus Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born July 1, 1925, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Lyla Vetta Bartoe Collins. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Rush Johnson; one daughter, Karen Sue Johnson McGuire; five sisters, Florence Mullins, Opal Perry, Susie Neece, Virgina Williams and Lahoma Crum, and one granddaughter-in-law, Elizabeth Blair.
Mary leaves behind four daughters to cherish her memory with hearts longing to be with her: Lyla Ann (Blair) Adams, Mary Frances (Dillard) Smallwood, Martha Lynn (Chester) Bailey and Sharon Lee (David) Collins; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Light officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons: Rusty Blair, Keith Blair, Robert Blair, Steven Smallwood, Jason Smallwood, Tim Hover, Justin Hover, Matt McGuire and Josh Bailey.
