CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. William “Billy” Workman, 36 of Piney Fork at Harts, departed this life Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born July 23, 1975, at Boone Memorial Hospital, he was a son of Jerry Workman and Mary Evans Workman.
Billy was an avid sports fan in which he supported West Virginia University and New England Patriots. He also loved racing and was a Jeff Gordon fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs.
Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Mary Lou Lunsford, and two uncles, Joe Workman and Larry Workman.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri Workman; mother, Mary S. Workman; father, Jerry “Gee Gee” Workman; three sisters, Donella Lawson (Rick Adams), Caitlin Workman and Savannah Workman: paternal grandparents, Chester and Belva Workman; two nieces, Amber Wright and Aleasha Wright; one great-niece, Aleayah Gardner; two aunts- Rose Keller and Sue Conley; three step-children, Austin Collins, Jeffrey Lambert and Makayla Lambert, and a host of cousins and friends.
Services will be conducted at noon Friday, June 29, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Vivie Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ardy Richards, J.J. Richards, Ed Freeman, Rick Curry, Scott Keller, and Robbie Bowe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Hobbs and Johnny Fleming.
