TEDDY WOODY

LAKE, W.Va. — Mr. Teddy D. “Little Dill” Woody, 76, of Lake, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born February 18, 1936, at Lake, he was a son of the late Dill and Carrie Mae Nelson Woody. Also preceding him in death were his grandparents, Sidney and Rosie Johnson Woody and Green and Bessie Craddock Nelson; one son, Jerry Dale Woody; one granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Chambers, and one brother, Donnie Woody.

Teddy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing gospel music, and attending church at Mt. Mission Community Church. He was also a member of the UMWA.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Erma Opal Woody; three daughters, Glenna Faye Martinez of Wilkesboro, N.C., Dolly Mae Chambers of Madison and Linda Kay (Willis) Brewer of Camden, S.C; six sons, Teddy Michael (Nancy) Woody of Madison, of Lake, Ricky Dean Woody of Six Mile, and Paul James Woody, Randy Joe Woody, Terry Dill (Kathy) Woody and Bobby Edward Woody, all of Lake; one sister, Isabella Woody Robinson of Lake; one brother, Jimmie Dale Woody of ; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and and great-great-grandchild to arrive in September.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Mt. Mission Community Church at Lake with Rev. Bobby Belcher and Rev. Wiley Kent officiating. Burial will follow at his residence at Lake.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Michael Woody, Matthew Chambers, Joe Woody, David Vickers, P.J. Woody, Jeffrey Woody, Arnie Vance and Arnalfo Limon.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
