RANGER, W.Va. — Pearley Jackson Napier, 78, of Ranger, departed this life Sunday, September 16, 2012, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston.
Born September 17, 1933, at Sulphur Springs at Ranger, he was a son of the late John and Margaret Napier. A son, Alford Lee Napier, also preceded him in death, along with a sister, Georgia Williamson, and two brothers, Lonnie Napier and Kiah Napier.
Pearley was a retired coal miner for Arch Coal Company and was a member of Fourteen Mile Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Lucille Napier; his children, Lonnie (Nancy) Napier, Glen (Jackie) Napier, and Rick (Liz) Napier, all of Ranger, and Danny (Maelene) Napier of Branchland; six grandchildren, Larry (Rose) Napier, Brian Napier, Christopher Napier, Diana (Billy) Hatfield, Joshua Napier and Jason Napier; four great-grandchildren, Jamie Hatfield, Alex Hatfield, Abigail Napier and Gage Napier; three sisters, Sally Napier of Barboursville, Betty (Arley) Webb of Proctorville, Ohio, and Lois (Jack) Wiley of Ranger; a brother, Johnny (Lana) Napier of Harts; very special nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Aub Dean.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Brothers Jesse Williamson and Ronnie Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens at Wayne.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
