CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Herman “Hi” Stollings, 75, of Chapmanville, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at his residence.

Born December 29, 1937, at home at Smokehouse, he was a son of the late Harvey and Grace Workman Stollings. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Thelma Farley Stollings, and brother, Elbert Stollings.

Mr. Stollings was a coal miner and a construction worker for the Board of Education.

Survivors include two sisters, Madeline Dingess and Marcella Dingess; a special great-great-grandson, Nitrus Workman; a special cousin, Roger Stollings; three step-daughters; three step-sons and an additional host of family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 13, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Tony Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Stollings Cemetery at Smokehouse.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
