ACCOVILLE - A search warrant executed at a residence in Accoville on Sept. 10 led to the discovery of weapons, marijuana, money and suspected heroin.
According to four separate criminal complaints, along with a release from the Logan County Sheriff's Office, Lt. B.E. Ferrell and F.M. Ferrell II, as well as members assigned to the U.S. 119 Task Force, carried out the warrant at the residence of Marquita Samika Brooks, 35, at 124 Litz Hill in Accoville.
Once inside, deputies found a small lock box that contained 16 small blue bags, each of which contained a substance suspected to be heroin. One pistol was also found in the box.
Deputies then located five other firearms, $1,685, digital scales, more small blue bags, one clear plastic bag containing a blue substance believed to be ecstasy and three marijuana plants.
In total, four individuals were arrested in the sting: Brooks and Amir Stewart, 18, both of Accoville; and Derek Brown, 19, and Tylik George Smith, 18, both of Wilmington, Delaware.
Brooks was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and arraigned on a $20,000 cash only bond. She is currently behind bars at Southwestern Regional Jail as of press time.
Stewart, Brown and Smith were charged with conspiracy to commit a felony. Additionally, Stewart and Brown were charged with two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance.
Stewart and Brown were both arraigned on bonds of $30,000 and are incarcerated at Southwestern Regional Jail as of press time. Smith was arraigned on a $10,000 bond that he has since posted.
