LOGAN - The Logan County Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 23, to discuss how it plans to move forward after the resignation of Board President Paul Hardesty.
Hardesty resigned from his position Thursday after West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice announced that he had chosen Hardesty to fill the state Senate seat vacated by Richard Ojeda's resignation. Both Ojeda and Hardesty are Democrats.
The meeting will be at 8 a.m. at the Logan County Schools central administrative office. Board members will discuss the procedures for filling the vacant seat and will possibly nominate someone to fill it.
The Logan County Schools' central office is at 506 Holly Ave. in Logan, behind Family Dollar in the Aracoma area.
