LOGAN - A drug bust in the City of Logan Wednesday afternoon yielded substantial amount of cash money.

According to City of Logan Police Chief P.D. Clemens, Patrolman Everett Maynard obtained a search warrant for the Charles Street home of Ricky Damron, 57, after he received some information about drugs being in the residence.

When Maynard served the warrant and searched the home, he found drugs (one of which was identified as suboxone), a handgun and between $36,000-$37,000 in cash.

"As far as cash goes, this is the largest bust since I've been there," Clemens said. "We're going to try to forfeiture the money, which will help the police department, and we've also been able to take another drug dealer off the streets of Logan. There's several more that we're working on right now."

Damron has been charged with delivery of controlled substance and two counts of possession with intent to deliver. He was arraigned on a $50,000 10 percent cash or surety bond. He is currently being held at Southwestern Regional Jail.

As of Thursday afternoon, Maynard was taking the other drugs to a pharmacy to identify them.
