LOGAN Three individuals are behind bars after drugs were allegedly found inside a home along Dingess Street in Logan.

According to three separate criminal complaints filed in Logan County Magistrate Court, troopers with the West Virginia State Police and an officer with the City of Logan Police Department served a search warrant Feb. 3 at the home as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

The WVSP troopers made their way into the home through the locked front door. According to the complaints, they found Edward Delane Miller, 39, of St. Albans, W.Va., in the living room. In one of the bedrooms, troopers found Ashley Nicole Darby, 34, of Big Creek, W.Va., and Danny Vital Fortune, 38, of Beckley, W.Va.

Two of the troopers reportedly noticed a large bulge in Darby's shirt. She said it was a bag of crystal methamphetamine, which was seized.

Upon a search of the residence, troopers reportedly located multiple clear plastic bags and wrapped foil containing approximately 58 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, packaged in a way that was "indicative to the distribution of said drug."

Also located in the residence were multiple plastic bags, digital scales, approximately $481 in cash and two bags of suspected marijuana.

Miller, Darby and Fortune were all arrested on felony charges of possession with intent to deliver a schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a schedule II controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a felony against the state. All three are currently being held at Southwestern Regional Jail on bonds of $75,000.
