MOUNT GAY — Tickets for 2011 “America’s Got Talent” winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.’s free concert at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College next month will become available Monday, Sept. 27.
Tickets will be available beginning at 9 a.m. that day and can be picked up at the receptionist desk in the front hallway of building A on the college’s Logan campus. There is a limit of two tickets per person, and seating is limited, so anyone interested is encouraged to secure their ticket in advance.
Seats will be held until 6:45 p.m. the day of the concert, which is set for the Savas Kostas Performing Arts Theater on Saturday, Oct. 16. The event is general admission on a first-come, first-serve basis, and no seats will be reserved.
SWVCTC is asking those attending to bring at least two cans of food for each ticket. The food will be donated to the college’s food bank, which serves students in need. Food donations need to be made at the time tickets are picked up.
The concert will be held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Landau’s “AGT” win, as well as the 50th anniversary of SWVCTC. He plans to perform every song from his run of wins on the show, as well as some surprises.
