LAURA VIRGINIA "JENNIE" DAVIS, 70, of Hurricane, W.Va., formerly of Logan, W.Va., passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, in Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. She was born January 7, 1951, in Ethel, W.Va., to the late Theodore and Grace Farmer. She was a 1969 graduate of Logan High School. She was an employee of Rite Aid for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Albert and Genoa Farmer and Millard and Laura Boothe; and an infant son, Michael James Everett Swiney. Laura is survived by her daughter, Lindsay (Mandy) Swiney of Hurricane, W.Va.; and her son, Jason (Laura) Swiney of Dingess, W.Va.; and two grandchildren, whom she adored, Kianna Brown of Huntington, W.Va., and Montgomery Swiney of Dingess, W.Va. She is also survived by her brother, Jim (Patsy) Farmer of Utica, Ohio, as well as two nieces, Jamie Farmer and Jenna Simon, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending "Pickin in the Park" at Chief Logan Park in Logan, W.Va. There will be a memorial dinner at a later date. All Ohio Cremation & Burial Society, Cleveland, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
