PAMELA GILLMAN BIAS, arguably the maker of the best cornbread on the planet, left this world April 30, 2022, at the age of 67. Born November 10, 1954, to Lewis and Edith Marie Gillman of Switzer, she was preceded in death by her parents, her loving sister, Mary Ann Curtiss, brother-in-law, Butch Curtiss, and her husband, Phillip Bias. Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Emily Bias of Reston, Va., son, Phillip Jr. Bias and grandson Anthony Bias of Ethel, as well as longtime companion, Donald Zukoski of Ethel. Pam has been a mother to many not born to her. She’d feed anyone, has taken care of many in their final and darkest days, and wouldn’t have had it any other way. A memorial/celebration of life will be held at a later date at Chief Logan State Park. You will be encouraged to bring yourself and your best dish to share as she would have done herself. The Team at Affordable Cremations of WV is in charge of arrangements.
