After a disappointing three-point loss last Friday to last year's state champion, Seneca Trails Christian School, the Beth Haven Christian girls' basketball team traveled to Dunbar to play South Charleston Christian on Tuesday.

The Lady Hornets could not overcome a slow start and ended up falling 39-19. Beth Haven managed to score just seven points in the first three quarters and fell to 2-5 on the season.

Leading the scoring for Beth Haven was sophomore guard Jordan Preece with 12 points.

She was followed by Kylie Abraham with four points. Madison Hall added two points and Abby Brumfield was 1 of 2 from the charity stripe, finishing with one point.

Beth Haven is scheduled to be back in action on the January 26, hosting the Lewisburg Christian Lady Lions.
