With two more wins last week, the Beth Haven Christian boys' basketball team has improved to 9-0 on the season.

Last Friday, January 4, Beth Haven traveled to Seneca Trails Christian Academy in Ronceverte and won 60-31. Then last Saturday, Jan. 5, the Hornets made it 2-0 oh their eastern swing road trip and prevailed 62-58 over Lewisburg Christian Academy.

Dawson Loving led the scoring in the Seneca Trails game with 13 points.

Tyler Hobbs had 12, Caleb DeBerry nine, Caleb Maynard eight and Jason Frye and Heath Hurley had five each. Josh Frankum and Clayton Kronz had three apiece and Mason Henry added two points,

"This team had beat us the last three years so it felt good turning the tide on them. We could have scored a 100 easy but the subs played the entire second half," Beth Haven coach Ronnie Hipshire said,.

Loving paced the Hornets in the win over Lewisburg as he netted 24 points.

Hobbs added 10, while DeBerry and Frye had nine each. Maynard and Henry had five each.

With the two conference wins, the Hornets are now 6-0 in West Virginia Christian Education Association play.

BETH HAVEN GIRLS GET WIN: The Beth Haven Christian girls' basketball team recently scored a 53-13 win over Mountain State Christian.

Jordon Preece led the Hornets with 15 points, four assists and two steals.

Senior Erin Garretson had 11 points, two assists and one steal.

Abbye Lowe had eight and Madison Hall had seven. Ava Albright tossed in six, Alayah Abraham had four and Kyle Abraham two.
